1 Cup of Water (room temperature)
28 gr. Butter (2 Tablespoons) at room temperature
1 Large Egg
512 Gr. Flour (4 cups)
1/8 Cup of Sugar (20 gr)
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Small enveloppe of Active dry yeast – 10 Gr.
METHOD
Using a stand mixer with a dough hook, combine all ingredients and mix in the same bowl. Mix and knead for about 8 minutes.
The dough should be soft and smooth.
Leave the dough in the bowl and cover with cling film.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour – it should double or even triple in size.
Divide the dough in 8 pieces and shape each piece into a flattened ball.
They should weigh approximately 100 Gr. each.
Place the balls on parchment paper and let rise again for 30-40 minutes.
Bake in a 190 degrees Celsius (375 F) for 15 minutes until golden.
Split in half and use for burgers or fantastic sandwiches ! Makes 8 –
I usually make 4 burgers and shape the rest for hot dogs.
