
Similar to Hushweh which is a staple in Middle Eastern cuisine as a humble, flavor-packed dish made of ground meat cooked in clarified butter, this dish can be prepared in very little time with ingredients you have at home. A perfect weeknight dish that turn simple ingredients into a Middle Eastern dish with exotic flavours. The addition of sauteed potatoes add to the pleasure of this dish. Served with pickled vegetables and olives, you have a true Lebanese feast which can be prepared in no time.
INGREDIENTS
Serve 4
500 Gr. Ground beef
4 Potatoes cut in medium size cubes
1 Large onion minced
2 Cloves Garlic minced
2 Teaspoons 7 Lebanese Spice Mix
Fresh parsley finely chopped
Pine Nuts for garnish
3-4 Tablespoons Olive Oil

1 Tablespoon Allspice
1 Tablespoon ground coriander
1 Tablespoon Cinnamon
1.5 Teaspoon Black Pepper
1.5 Teaspoon Ground Cloves
1.5 Teaspoon Cumin
1.5 Teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
PREPARATION
In a medium size pan, saute the potatoes in olive oil until crispy on all sides. Remove from the pan and set aside in a small bowl.
Using a little bit of olive oil, saute the garlic with the onions until they start to brown on all sides. Add the ground beef and break into bite size pieces. Add the the Lebanese spice blend and mix well. Add the potatoes and fresh parsley and give it a last mix. Add the pine nuts for garnish.
Serve with pita bread, crunchy vegetables and fresh olives.
