Mongolian Beef

Easy to prepare – Lunch in 15-20 minutes, with ingredients you should keep in your cupboard.
The meal is ready in 15 minutes and is delicious. Spicy, salty and full of Umami flavours.

INGREDIENTS
500 Gr. Lean minced beef
4 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
2 Tablespoon Chinese Cooking wine; Shaoxing Wine
4 Scallions cut in 10 cm pieces
1/4 Cup of Soy Sauce
3 Tablespoons Chicken Stock
2 Tablespoons Sambal Oelek
4 Tablespoons Honey – Dark Brown Sugar – Sugar Cane
2 Tablespoons Corn Starch
Sesame Seeds for garnish

INSTRUCTIONS
Chop the garlic and mix it with the meat in a large bowl. Stir in the Chinese cooking wine and mix well. Let the mixture rest for 10 minutes.
In a small bowl, stir in the soy sauce, the chicken broth, sugar, sambal oelek and mix well. Whilst mixing, stir in the corn starch and mix well.
In a heavy base sauce pan heat the vegetable oil and saute the meat until cooked through and broken in small pieces.
Add the soy sauce mixture and stir in the meat preparation. Mix well and add the scallion. Cook for 2-3 minutes, until the scallions start to welt.

Serve with Jasmine Rice – Garnish with Sesame seeds
